Reece Building Consultants were initially engaged to prepare the business case for the remediation of the weathertightness issues in relation to the roofing at Logan Park High School. This primarily involved the preparation and coordination of weathertightness surveys, cost estimates and options reports for the issues being experienced. Since this time, we have been engaged to manage the design, procurement and construction aspects of the project.
The work involves replacement of the roof structure and claddings to all buildings within the site to provide a weathertight solution for the future.
With no two buildings being the same, careful planning, design management and constant reviews of the proposed solutions will be required to ensure the project’s success.
Aside from the obvious design complications, the main challenge will be ensuring the school remains fully operational during the construction phase. While still in the early stages of design, planning has commenced to ensure the Client’s requirements and expectations are met.
