Reece Building Consultants were engaged by the Balmacewen Intermediate Board of Trustees to manage the design and construction of their replacement classroom.

The project involved the demolition of an existing dilapidated building and a footprint extension to an existing block to create the new teaching space.

In addition to the new space, modernisation of the existing block was undertaken to provide a centralised breakout room.

As construction was carried out during the school year, careful planning and a high level of communication was required with the Client to ensure that the impacts on the school’s operational requirements were minimised.
